On a number of occasions the subsequent drives saw Skewen unlucky not to cross the line with a series of desperate penalties being given away by the defence. Even with the final play of the game Skewen continued to strive for the winning try and again only desperate defence taking winger Liam Douglas high into touch prevented what would have been an incredible win for Skewen.
Final Score Skewen 17 Dunvant 21.
An amazing match with both sides showing considerable commitment and effort. Dunvant attacked with pace and profited from a series of turnovers. All praise must be given to every Skewen player who, from being all but dead and gone, turned the game on its head in the final quarter almost snatching victory from what appeared to be total defeat. Mistakes and penalties took the game away from us, commitment and effort in the final quarter almost brought it back. In the end Dunvant clung on by any means for the victory
