After last week’s good performance against Pencoed Skewen travelled to Tondu with a much weakened side.

Skewen again leaked an early try when after only 3 minutes a penalty line out on the Skewen 22 was driven over for the 1^st and converted Tondu try.

Skewen where able to claw back points when on the 25^th minute Anthony Busselli successfully slotted over a penalty.. Tondu increased their lead on the 35^th minute when a well worked move between 10 and 12 created a huge gap in the Skewen rush defence leading to their 2^nd converted try.

Skewen fought back well and were rewarded with a penalty lineout in the Tondu 22. Clean possession saw a series of picks a drives into the heart of the Tondu defence which resulted in a fine try for veteran Second row Chris Grimes, hitting the inside line to cross for the try converted by Anthony Busselli.

On the 10 minute mark Tondu extended their lead with a try, again from a driving penalty lineout in the Skewen 22.

Tondu’s final try came on the 30^th minute from a driving scrum well inside the Skewen 22 which was quickly recycled enabling the centre to crash over for a converted try.

 Yet another loss but all praise must be given to the 20 players who took to the field and gave their all against a strong Tondu side re enforced by several premiership players from both Aberavon and Bridgend. Hopefully the missing players will be available for our next home game against our local rivals Glynneath
