Skewen took the lead on the 5th minute when a Brynamman scrum on their 22 was driven back at a rate of knots by a strong Skewen drive. The subsequent turn over saw the ball quickly moved to centre Cai Morgan who crossed near the corner to score a try converted by Anthony Busselli . Skewen 7 Brynamman 3.
The strong Skewen scrummage on the 15th minute enabled Skewen to further their lead following a scrum penalty converted by Anthony Busselli Skewen 10 Brynamman 3.
Brynamman reduced the deficit with a penalty on the half hour . Skewen 10 Brynamman 6.
Following considerable Skewen pressure in the Brynamman half following good phase play and quick handling winger Andrew Pearson crossed for a try in the corner converted by Anthony Busselli.

The second half was a well matched affair with both sides defence dominating attacks. The only score of the half came from good phase play by Brynamman in the Skewen 22 which led to a converted try on the 5th minute of the second Half. Skewen 17 Brynamman1 3.

A hard fought victory based on an aggressive defence. A strong scrummage often putting Brynamman on the back foot. Overall a solid team effort with the back row putting in an excellent well balanced performance.
