Skewen off to a bad start when after just 5 minutes Bony scored their 1^st try and conversion

This was followed only 5 minutes later when some good play and offloads saw Bony stretch the Skewen defence for their 2^nd unconverted try. 0_12

Skewen managed to claw back points with a Anthony Busselli penalty on the 29 minute mark

Skewen now had a greater share of both territory and possession and where able to narrow the gap due to a Richard Davies try and Anthony Busselli conversion.

Skewen again started the second half shakily when after only 3 minutes a clean take by the Bony forwards at a lineout on the Skewen 22 saw quick recycling of the ball and a well worked move between 10 and 13 saw Bony run in for their 3^rd try which was successfully converted.

Skewen were by now having the lion’s share of both possession and territory but were unable to convert this into points.

On the 35^th minute Bonymaen scored the 4^t,h bonus point, try against the run of play when a penalty inside the own half led to a lineout inside the Skewen 22. A clean take and drive saw the forwards cross the line for an unconverted try.

Skewen rallied with some excellent phase play taking the ball to the Bony line for flanker Richard Davies to cross for his second try of the game.

With the score at Skewen 15 Bonymaen 24 the Skewen threw everything into gaining at least a bonus point. Despite pressing the Bony line for several minutes with the final play of the game a quick turnover saw Bonymaen race the length of the field to score their 5^th try which went unconverted.

Final score Skewen 15 Bonymaen 29.

Another loss but to be fair to the boys not only was it against a very strong Bonymaen team but it was a far better performance all round than the disappointing loss to Brynamman.
